Frequently Asked Questions
How long do you stay at the wedding?
I typically arrive about two hours before the ceremony and stay until around 30 minutes after the first dance. This ensures I capture all the key moments of your day without missing anything important.
Do you take formal family photos?
Most of your wedding photos will be taken in a natural, candid style, focusing on authentic moments. However, I always make time for a few posed family portraits. These are handled quickly and efficiently to allow you to enjoy the day.
When will we receive our edited photographs?
Your gallery will be ready within 4-6 weeks. High-resolution images can be downloaded directly from your gallery without watermarks, and you’ll have full copyright to print and share as you wish.
Can family and friends order prints?
Yes! Your gallery can be shared with family and friends, and they’ll have the option to order professional-quality prints, wall art, and albums directly from me.
What are the payment terms?
A £250 booking fee secures your date, with the remaining balance due 4 weeks before the wedding. I also offer the flexibility to pay in instalments.
Do you offer pre-wedding shoots?
Yes, pre-wedding shoots can be arranged for £100 and include around 30 digital images. They’re a great way to get comfortable in front of the camera and can often coincide with your wedding planning meeting. Yarm is a beautiful location for these shoots, but I’m happy to discuss other options.
How many photographs will we receive?
The number varies depending on the wedding, but on average, you’ll receive around 750 fully edited images.
How does the album process work?
I’ll handle the design process and send you proofs via email. You’ll have the chance to request any changes before the album is ordered, ensuring a fast turnaround time so you can enjoy your album as soon as possible.
Do you offer video services?
Yes, I offer videography as an add-on to your photography package. Using modern equipment, I capture enough video to create a 6-8 minute highlight film alongside your photos. If you’re looking for a dedicated videographer for full video coverage, I’m happy to recommend trusted professionals.
How long have you been a photographer?
I’ve been a full-time professional photographer since 2012. This is my passion, and I love every moment of it!
Why do you limit the number of weddings you take on each year?
To ensure every client receives the highest quality service, I carefully manage my schedule. Photographing, editing, and preparing a wedding gallery is a detailed process, and I want to give each wedding the attention it deserves.
Are you insured, and what happens if your camera breaks?
Yes, I’m fully insured as a professional photographer. On the day, I bring a full range of cameras and lenses, ensuring I have backups in case of any technical issues.
Can we visit you before making a booking?
Absolutely! I’d love to meet you and discuss your wedding plans. You can visit my studio in Yarm, view sample albums, and have all your questions answered.
Let me know if you’d like to learn more or arrange a visit!
